How we count views

We count signed-in members. Text and image posts count after two seconds of visibility; videos and reels count after three seconds of visible playback.

Your own views do not count. Repeat views by the same member count at most once per post in 24 hours. The total represents views, not unique people.

Counting starts with this update. Past views are not estimated. Logged-out views and story views are not currently counted.

Private content is counted only for authorized members. There is no public viewer list. Temporary pseudonymous counting records are cleaned up by the video worker after approximately 25 hours; aggregate counts are retained.

Authors can receive in-app notifications at 10, 50, 100 and each additional 100 views. You can change this under Edit profile.

Counts are an approximate usage metric, not a tamper-proof measurement of reach.
